Time heals all wounds.

The passage of time is supposed to bring with it bursts of fresh hopes, new problems to solve, new solutions to tackle old problems, etc. But some wounds are like eczemas. They kinda patch up and heal for awhile and you don't think about it. It leaves a fairly unnoticeable scar. Usually nothing more than some slight discoloration of the skin.

Yet every now and then, those old eczema wounds open with new flourish. Leaking pus and blood and you wonder what the hell you can do about it. Then, after trying for awhile you realize that all the creams and salves in the world can't really handle the problem. And that in time, somehow, the eczema will just slowly be patched over for awhile at least. Or so you hope.

And the cycle repeats.

Who said that time heals all wounds? I don't believe it is relevant, especially for the short term. The eczemas keep coming back. In the long term, it's either too late or we'll all be dead, so its irrelevant, though in a different way.
